The Happy Togs Shootout // Port Barrington, IL

I had the pleasure of meeting up with a bunch of other photographers from the Happy Togs Facebook group for a shootout! I was SOO excited when I got into into because so many people wanted to join that it filled up almost instantly! It was amazing to meet photographers in person that I greatly admire! The shootout was hosted by Tracy Joy and Jessica Weinstock - two amazing photographers that I was a bit intimidated to meet at first! But they are just as awesome in person as they are when chatting in the group :)

We were split up into two groups, one led by Tracy and the other by Jess. I started off in Tracy's group. She had two adorable sisters for us to photograph. She chose the locations and the poses and then we all got to take turns shooting. After about a half hour, we switched to Jess's group. She had a family for us to photograph. The mom is also an amazing photographer, and her family looked like they came straight out of a magazine!

It was really great to put so many faces to names, work alongside other creatives, and see how Tracy and Jess's minds work when setting up shots. It was also awesome to go to a location that I've seen photographed many times, but never gone to myself (it's about an hour drive for me). It was a really fun day full of community over competition, and I'm so grateful that I go to be a part of it!
