My friends and family back in Ohio often say they wish I could take photos for them, so I decided to set up Christmas mini sessions while we were in town for Thanksgiving. We were lucky enough to have a sunny and warm(ish) day so we could take photos outside as well as with my indoor setup.              
    
 
   
   This was the first event that I photographed for someone other than a close friend or family! I loved the Under the Sea theme that Blake's mom, Mary, went with. She's a Pinterest junky after my own heart! She did a great job pulling everything together, and did a lot of it herself. I even helped with a few things too :) Check out these great details! Here is a shot of the main area.  The cake was made by one of my former coworkers at the Blue Goose in St Charles (I was a cake decorator for about 12 years for those of you that don't know!).  The edible shark fins were also made at the Blue Goose, but Mary made the cupcakes herself! I love the netting, it really added something special :) 
I just love the way the birthday banner gradually changes color! Mary did such a great job with it! 
 Proud parents Mary and Joe with birthday boy Blake!  I designed this! Mary showed me one she liked for inspiration and I made it happen. Love this trend!  I also designed the water bottle labels :)  The candy bar!
  I also helped Mary out by writing on this chalkboard while she finished setting up. I love the idea of a time capsule, it will be so special when he turns 18!  And here is the birthday boy! He really enjoyed his cake and went straight to the tub afterward haha!
