I had been dreaming of doing this photoshoot with my daughter ever since she was 3 months old and I came across this giant fake dandelion! I couldn't wait until the day came that I could put her in a sweet little dress and turn her loose to toddle around surrounded by prairie grasses and flowers. The photos came out exactly how I envisioned, and yet somehow better because now I could actually see Lyla walking around like a big girl :) I was actually a bit surprised at how well she walked! I figured being barefoot and walking on uneven ground would slow her up a bit, but no! It was all just way too cute.
I even took a little behind-the-scenes video of her toddling away with her big fluffy dandelion <3 You can also see from the video the actual colors of the scene. My vision was to have much warmer tones, so with the final images you can really see the difference that editing can make.
