Blake turns 1 next month! His mom wanted to do his birthday photoshoot a bit early while it is still warm enough to go outside. She also happened to choose the perfect autumn day when the fall foliage out at Leroy Oaks was at its most beautiful! Beautiful red and orange trees with some pops of green, as well as a grove of bright yellow maple trees. Happy birthday Blake!

I had heard about about St. James Farm in Wheaton and decided to go check it out. My daughter is pretty tired of being my model, so I put a call out on Facebook that the first person that wanted to meet me out there that afternoon would get a free photoshoot while I explored :) I was excited when I got a response from someone with twins, so fun! Charlotte and Cecilia are so adorable as well. It was fun and I'm so glad we were able to do it!

Ashley // Senior Portraits // Batavia, IL Photographer

I was so happy to be able to do a senior portrait session for my friend Ashley! Her grandparents have been best friends with my in-laws FOREVER, so our families are all really good friends. This was also my first senior portrait session, so I'm also grateful for the experience. We went to Fabyan Forest Preserve on a beautiful fall day. It was perfect! Except for all of the kids that started showing up to take homecoming photos! It turned into a photographer's nightmare before long with a seemingly endless stream of teenagers posing in spots I wanted to shoot and walking through the background of my shots. Sigh. But we made it work!
