I had so many friends back in Ohio wanting to do fall sessions with me that we decided to set aside a weekend to head there so I could hold mini sessions. Of course the only day we could do it, Saturday, it threatened to rain all day. Most of the sessions had at least some misting/sprinkles, but it full-out poured for the final family of the day. I felt so bad :( One family rescheduled to Sunday and we had bright sun! Darn midwest lol. I'm still glad I was able to do them, and glad to have gotten to visit with so many people I haven't seen in years (even if it was for a short time!)
I've had several people from back home in Ohio say that they want to get together with me for photos while I'm in town, so I was more than happy to offer a few sessions during my recent trip. I've watched Amber's little monster Dakota grow up through Facebook, and seen her posting about her nephew Blayne for even longer. It was really nice to get to meet them! Dakota and my daughter are only a couple months apart in age, so it was cute to watch them run around together for a bit. They were all a bit distracted by being outside in the warm weather, as well as having various critters around to look at, but I still managed to get some cute shots :) We also did a quick maternity shoot for Danielle, who is expecting her second baby boy in July!
My friends and family back in Ohio often say they wish I could take photos for them, so I decided to set up Christmas mini sessions while we were in town for Thanksgiving. We were lucky enough to have a sunny and warm(ish) day so we could take photos outside as well as with my indoor setup.
