Kristie is another local photographer, and one of the first ones I became friends with once starting my business. She told me shortly after she found out she was pregnant back in October, and that was actually what prompted me to pick up a pregnancy test. She was the first one I told once that strip turned pink, because seriously, what were the odds?? It turned out that our due dates were only 2 days apart! Then we found out we were both expecting little girls, and both delivering at the same hospital! How fun is that? Sweet Adeline ended up being born on June 2nd, and I'm set to be induced on June 12th, so we didn't end up in the hospital together, but at least I was able to fit this session in (on the day I hit 39 weeks!). I'm looking forward to watching our girls grow up through all of the beautiful photos we will take of them, these are only the beginning!!
My friend Ashley from Red Maple Photography is now the proud mama of two sweet boys (she's the lovely lady you'll see in some of the behind-the-scenes photos below)! I'm so glad we were able to collaborate for Tyler's newborn session :) We used some of my props and some of hers to capture his cuteness. She wanted to practice a new wrapping technique (and she nailed it!), and a bucket pose. I really wanted to use one of my new bonnets and a knit layer that I made with my faux oak stump :) It wasn't an easy session - she was 10 days post-cesarean and I had just hit 37 weeks pregnant. I thought I was going to be helping her out, but honestly she did most of the work haha, I was useless once I was on the floor! I'm happy we were able to pull it off though :) I can't wait for my gal to be here so we do some pics of them together!
Hi there! I'm Mandy.
